I am in charge of leading what we call "Software Engineering Operations" at Biamp Systems. One of my responsibilities is to define and document our various processes, and to monitor and improve them over time. My background is in Electrical Engineering and Embedded Software Development, so the technical details of this role come "easy" to me. In ramping up on the "soft" skills required for my role - documentation and training - I came across BPMN in my search for the "right way" to represent these processes I'm trying to design and communicate. I use draw.io to create diagrams, and have found their BPMN template more than sufficient for my needs.
